Weiwen Memorial Scholarship

  1. Purpose: In memory of the donor' late grandfather, Mr. Guan Weilan, and the grandmother, Ms. Liang Peiwen, Alumna Joyce Tai established this memorial scholarship to help young English majors who come from poor families or are in urgent need and are aspiring to study to complete their studies in peace of mind.
  2. Initiators: Joyce Tai, Zhan Naixuan.
  3. Scholarship quota and amount: three students, two students will be awarded NT$50,000 per semester, and one student will be awarded NT$20,000 per semester.
  4. Qualifications:
    - Domestic students
    - The family is poor or the family is in emergency situation
    - Interested in learning
    - Students currently studying in the undergraduate program
  5.  Application documents:
    - An application form written in Chinese (including autobiography and recommendations from two teachers)
    - A copy of the transcript of the previous semester
    - Proof of low- and middle-income households or special circumstances
    - A copy of the applicant's post office or bank passbook (including name and account number, a 30 yuan handling fee will be deducted for bank remittance)
    - A copy of the household registration copy applied within 3 months
  6.  Deadline: Deadline for the second semester of the 112 academic year: 4:00 pm on March 18, 2024 (Monday). Emergency assistance is provided on an on-site basis. 
  7. Review focus: Those with special financial needs are listed as the primary focus during review.
  8.  After the scholarship award list is approved, the winning students must write a thank you letter to the scholarship sponsor to express their gratitude.
