Hsu Shi-tong Creativity scholarship
I. Purpose: Mr. Hsu Shi-tong successively obtained a degree in piano from the National School of Arts, a bachelor's degree in English Literature from Fu Jen Catholic University, and a master's degree in English teaching from the University of Illinois in the United States. Mr. Hsu once taught English on a voluntary basis in Hsinchu Juvenile Prison, helping young people in prison to make a new start; he was elected as one of the top ten outstanding young people in Taiwan; he encouraged and supported several outstanding rising stars in the music industry; and served as the representative of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council in the UK for eight years. . He has recorded the audio book of Oscar Wilde's original work "The Happy Prince" in Chinese and English. His expression is funny and charming. His profound understanding of English literature and culture has won unanimous praise from British and American people. The purpose of setting up this scholarship is to encourage students to discuss old knowledge, cultivate new knowledge in the field of English literature, and to develop themselves and benefit others.
II. Quota and scholarship: 1~2 receivers; the total amount of scholarship is around NT$40,000 per year.
III. Qualification:
A. BA and MA students of English Department, Fu Jen University
B. The outstanding and consistent original/innovative performance in language, drama, music, leadership, inspiration or willing to help people.
C. Academic grade average of previous school year is over 70.
D. Grade of conduct performance is over 75 and without bad habits.
E. The scholarship receiver should not get another scholarship.

F. Statement of not receiving other scholarship

IV. Application period: Every Autumn. The deadline of application for the 112 Academic Year: March 18 (Monday), 2024
V. Evaluation procedure: evaluated by English Department Scholarship Committee
A. Preliminary evaluation: by application materials
B. Secondary evaluation: if necessary, the applicants will be interviewed.
