Dear scholars and fellow researchers,
We are delighted to announce that the Conference on Language, Discourse, and Cognition (CLDC) will be returning this May, courtesy of the Graduate Institute of Linguistics at National Taiwan University (NTU). Esteemed for fostering scholarly discussions in the realms of language, discourse, cognition, and interdisciplinary studies, CLDC has blossomed into an essential international forum for the cognitive linguistics community in East Asia. With great anticipation for the 11th convening of this vibrant gathering, the CLDC11 organizing committee warmly invites you to be part of this esteemed academic event.
CLDC11 will be held from May 3 to 4, 2024, in the International Conference Hall of the College of Liberal Arts, NTU, providing a platform for scholars from all over the world to exchange ideas. For this year's conference, we invite Prof. Dr. Dagmar Divjak and Prof. Dr. Natalia Levshina to give keynote speeches on artificial intelligence and language strategies and effective language communication. Furthermore, we will feature a panel discussion on the conference's special topic of "Large Language Models (LLMs) and Discourse Analysis." This session will feature insights from three distinguished experts in the field: Prof. Dr. Laurent Prévot, Prof. Dr. Hin-Tat Cheung, and Prof. Dr. Shu-Kai Hsieh. In addition, there will be a special guest from the field of artificial intelligence participating in the panel. For updates and more information, please keep an eye on our website.
