The 39th ICETL conference will be held totally ONLINE.

Dear All,

Thank you for all your support for the 39th International Conference on English Teaching and Learning.
 
Due to the massive outbreak within Taiwan since May and the unpredictable transmission of COVID-19 that the local traveling may cause, the conference committee understands your concerns and has decided to turn the conference totally online as we consider everyone’s health and safety as the first priority.
 
We will announce the web conferencing software later and send the updated program with links of all sessions to the presenters and registered participants via email by the end of June.
 
Here are the updates for the presenters:  
 
1. Conference program: We will email the program to the presenters for confirmation by June 15. Please kindly check your email (including SPAM) then. 
[NOTE] Please kindly understand that it’s complicated while planning schedules but we will try our best to accommodate your needs based on the registration information.
 
2. Program book: After discussion, we will include the 300-word abstract instead of the 50-word version for providing a more complete research scope for all participants. If you would like to adjust the paper title and the abstract a little bit, please kindly email us the revision by June 15.
 
3. Presentation: 20 minutes presentation, followed by 5 minutes Q&A.
 
4. We do not require a full-text.
 
5. We will mail the conference bag one week before the conference to the mailing address you provided at registration. If you would like to change it, please kindly inform us by June 15. 
 
Again, we appreciate your great patience and support to make this conference possible during the pandemic. We sincerely hope everyone stay safe and healthy. Most importantly, we look forward to seeing you online on July 15th to 16th for the insightful academic inspirations and exchanges. Announcement of abstract acceptance 錄取/不錄取通知信已寄出,敬請確認信箱。

1. 會議摘要錄取/不錄取通知信已由會議系統寄出,敬請確認信箱。因各電子信箱網路安全設定不同,也請檢查垃圾郵件匣,並將本會之EMAIL加入您的聯絡人,以免錯過重要訊息,謝謝您的合作。
Abstract acceptance / rejection letter was sent to the email you registered on the conference website. Please kindly check your email box. Due to the various email safety settings, please also check the spam folder if you do not receive the letter and add the conference email to your contact list. Thank you for your cooperation. 
 

2. 若需本會重寄通知信,請來信通知,謝謝。
We can resent the letter of acceptance by request via email.

3. 登入會議網站即可查詢審查意見。說明請見下方連結。
You can find the review comments after log in to the conference website. Please check the link below for instructions.  

4. 錄取之發表者須於4/15完成會議報名及付款,始能排入議程。
(1) 若有共同發表人,每位皆須報名,至少一位需繳交註冊費。
(2) 註冊費-學生:僅適用於第一作者為在學學生。
Presenters have to register and pay the registration fee by April 15 to secure the inclusion in the Program. 
(1)  At least one of the authors listed on the accepted paper must pay the registration by the registration deadline.
(2) The student price is only applicable to the First author who is a student currently.

Guidelines for Abstract Submission
Please read the submission rules before submitting an abstract.
◆ The conference language is English. 
◆  The conference invites abstracts of no more than 300 words in English for double-blind peer-reviews.
◆ Abstracts must be submitted via the conference website.
◆ Please prepare the following information and your abstract in English. Abstract submitted in other languages will not be accepted.
◆ The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission.
◆Please do not contain any information that can be used to identify the author(s).
◆ All abstracts will be published on the Conference website prior to the conference.

◆ Format:
1. Title of the paper
2. A 50-word short abstract (for publication in the conference program)
3. A 300-word extended abstract (for blind peer review)
4. 3-5 keywords

Type of Presentation: Individual papers
1. Local presenters: On-site presentation
2. International presenters: On-line presentation
(1) Live presentation (via a program provided by the conference) or
(2) Pre-recorded video 
*During this time the presenter(s) should still connect via the program and stay online to  follow the broadcasting. Once the presentation is over, the audiences will have the opportunity to ask their questions to the presenter.
