2012 Student Work Exhibition

The Fall semester of 2012 is about to end, and it is also time for us to collect and submit good student works done in this semester and also the whole year of 2012.
Teachers, could you please recommend good works done by your
students?
Students, you can apply to present your works, too.
Student Works are broadly defined as works students done in a class and/or using the knowledge and skills you learned from a class. They can be:

  • A paper, a report with or without a poster
  • A compiled collection of writings
  • A presentation (group or individual, with a PowerPoint file)
  • Service learning experience and results (e.g. teaching materials)
  • An art work or multimedia work (e.g. webpage, photograph, video) produced with an explanation of your (artistic) intent
  • Show and Tell: Oral presentation of group and individual learning outcomes (due to time constraints, only those recommended by teachers and based on first-come-first-serve principle)
  • (If the work itself is unavailable,) the certificate of an award won in a competition (better with a photograph or other records)
  • Other works accomplished in English department courses and related to your learning in the department. (Please discuss your ideas with Kate and Julie.)

Time: 2012/12/26 (Wed) 12:00 – 4:30
Place: Hallway, Arens Performing Arts Center
Deadline for submission: 2012/12/21
(Please submit the form and your work to Julie at D20@mail.fju.edu.tw. In case mails can be lost, Julie will respond to your emails for sure.)

Why should I join the exhibition, or why should I recommend student works?

  1. Awards should be given to the work that gets the most post-it messages
  2. Those recommended by teachers—with more revision during the winter break—will be eligible for the Creativity and Effective Communication Award.
  3. Each of the award winners will get 4000 dollars. Most importantly, this is a rare opportunity for teachers and students to see our concrete achievements from this semester and this year.

Please join us!!!
