Winners of the Creativity and Effective Communication Awards!

Congratulations!!!

A. 學術獎 (Good Research Paper)

陳雲揚 (Lydia Chen)

The paper is pleasant to read, clear argumentation, good and to-the-point citation. That is, this is an excellent piece of work in terms of the structure and the language. However, the writer could strengthen the main argument, (i.e. the Other Mother is caring and monstrous) which does not really solve the central mystery of the book.

B. 概念溝通獎 (Effective Communication)

吳柏德(Andrew Wu)

We find that the three submissions together demonstrate his different attempts at effective communication in the department
-- (1) with his audience,
-- (2) with his group mates, and thru' his group mates with students of different year-levels, and
-- (3) with the teacher and on his own learning.
The third one, Response to Mid-term, is especially unique, as students usually do not reflect on what they learn through an exam.

陳紫樺(Bailey Chen)

She produced a poster which clearly and effectively presented the method, main argument and findings which support the main argument of her thesis.

C. 創意設計獎 Creative Design

王允中(David Wang)

David designed web pages providing a tutor out-sourcing program run by students in the English department. This program provides part-time jobs opportunities for students in FJU. By sending tutors to middle schools and high schools to provide tutoring service instead of running the process through 104 or 1111, and by students themselves, this concept is based on the cross-campus cooperation designed to benefit students on both sides. We found this program is well-intended. In terms of creativity, although this is program does not have a sharp visual design, it is

A.       in the design of acronym;
(ASP--After School Program // Aim Your Goal with Strong Potential)

B.       in the use of nail (school) and target (A) in the title
Furthermore, the weekly quizzes and its overall website function are also innovative.
