All you happy
creatures, I hear the cry of joy that you are making to each other. I
see the sky above me is smiling in your joy and my heart celebrates
yout feast and my head wears its crown of flowers. I feel your complete
happiness. It would be a sad, evil day if I were unhappywhen nature
itself is putting on so much joy this sweet morning and children
everywhere are gathering fresh flowers. The sun is shining warmly and
the little baby leaps in its mother's arms. I hear with joy.
Nevertheless, when I look at a particular tree or a single field, i
know that something is missing. The small flower at my feet says the
same thing. What has happened to my first experience with nature? Where
has it gone, this glory and dream? |
