How happy is the little stone
The rambles in the road alone
And doesn't care about careers，
And exigencies never fears
Whose coat of elemental brown	5
A passing universe put on;
And independent as the sun
Associates or glows alone，
Fulfilling absolute decree

3	doesn't care about careers	不開心事業的發展。因為小石本身根本沒有事業可言。
4	And exigencies never fears	此行為倒裝句。普通句法該為never fears exigencies．exigency 急迫之需。而fear的主詞為第一行的the little stone﹒意為小石沒有任何緊急之需的恐懼。
5	Whose coat of elemental brown	elemental自然的。指小石的外表，呈自然的棕色。
6	passing universe	瞬間即逝的世界。宇宙的廣大與小石的渺小，形成對比。可是此廣大的宇宙封帶著小石的色彩。是小石影響了此變遷不停的世界，而不是該世界影響了這一小石。此一看法，似覺滑稽，但有其深遠涵義。
7	independent as the sun	像太陽一棣獨立自主。此行在加強上行的涵義
8	Associates or glows alone	或是與人結友，或是獨自情感的發抒。
9	absolute decree	絕對的法令，即天法。
