Krapp's Last Tape

 

1.  What do you think of Krapp's Last Tape after reading it? Is it an interesting and appealing play to you? Would you use the tape recorder to restore your memories and to recollect them?

2.  What is the significant meaning of "tape" to the theme of this play?  What is the function of Krapp's song to this play?  What is the significant meaning: the sound of cork (312,4) and the sound of bottle against glass (317) to Krapp? 

3.  Why did Krapp keep on switching off or on and winding or rewinding the tape?  Is there any significant meaning reffering to Krapp's memories in the tape?

 4.  Do you think the Krapp's Tape is a kind of confession to readers ?  Do you believe what Krapp said in the tape made thirty years ago?  Why?
