	本詩透過織馬(Iron horse)的意象來描述火車(參閱Thoreau的Walden第四章)，火車由山邊自遠而近的駛來有如鐵馬奔馳一般。本詩只有一句，在see it後面的不定詞有lap、lick、stop、peer、 pare、crawl、chase、neigh和stop一共十個字。這些字都與馬的意像或火車的行進有關。其時間之前後則以四個then貫穿起來。這一長句一方面暗示火車之長，另一方面暗示火車奔馳的距離之遠。
